Braveheart Of The Boro!
TURKISH superstar Tuncay Sanli today promised to be Boro's Braveheart by bringing the enthusiastic brand of football that made him a legend in his homeland to Teesside.
Speaking at a press conference at Rockliffe Park to mark his unveiling as a Boro player, the 25-year-old, nicknamed Braveheart by the Fenerbahce faithful for his courageous performances, spoke of his delight at making the move to the Premiership.
"I will do all I can to play my part in the team," he said. "I always play with my heart and I will play with my heart for Middlesbrough and show everyone I have talent.
"I have watched the English league on television. I know it's a very difficult league and the players really enjoy when they play and that's what I like to do, enjoy playing, and I'm sure I will do that.
"I know there are very talented players in the team and also very enthusiastic as well.
"They are working very hard and everyone wants to be on top of the league and do their best and if I can play my part in this it will be great to do that."

Although Tuncay has only been on Teesside for around 24 hours after flying in with the rest of the squad from Austria, he said he has already seen enough to know he has made the right move.
"I'd like to thank Middlesbrough Football Club, they have given me all the things I asked for and the conditions I need as well," he said. "Now I've come to the club I've seen I'm in the right place.
"The important thing is the team and their targets and I will play my part in reaching those targets. I know they reached the UEFA Cup final before and I would like to be part of the team and do all I can."
Because of the delay preparing his visa, Tuncay arrived at the club's training camp in Bad Waltersdorf the day after his new team-mates flew in from England.
To his surprise, new boss Gareth Southgate was waiting to greet him at the airport - a personal touch that did not go unnoticed by the player.
"When I arrived one of the things that never happened before, my coach, Gareth Southgate, was at the airport," he said.
"That's one of the moments I won't forget.
"I know there are language difficulties at the moment and that's one of the things I'm working on improving.
"I'm very happy to be at Middlesbrough and all I'm interested in is being successful here."
Southgate, who revealed that the Turk will be involved in tomorrow's friendly at Burnley, believes Tuncay will prove a massive hit at the Riverside.
"He gives us great options, we've seen him on the left and right of midfield and he can also work as a striker," he said.
"He's a player with great skill, a fantastic work ethic and I think the supporters will be surprised at the amount of work he gets through.
"In terms of the player, we're delighted to get him. In terms of the personality, there's been a sparkle about him and an enthusiasm that's exciting for all of us to see.
"We're bringing in a player who's a massive star in his country and in other part of Europe it's seen as a major coup for us.
"I'm quiet happy that it's been quite quiet here. The way I want to do things is to do our talking on the field."
