Join The Riverside Parmo Party!
PARTY! Party! Party! Everyone round my house for a Parmo! Voice of the Boro Alastair Brownlee will have to revise his famous words yelled in elation when last-gasp victory was secured to reach the UEFA Cup final.
Because the Parmo party is now taking place right around the Riverside. Boro have joined forces with Newboulds to make Teesside specialty, the Parmo, a Riverside success story.
Thanks to a flourishing partnership with Newboulds, Parmos-in-a-bun are now available from no fewer than five outlets around the Riverside on matchdays - and sales are increasing at every game.
Following the massive initial success of an outlet in the North Stand, Boro now have three Newboulds food kiosks in the Riverside, having opened further outlets in the East Stand and West Stand Upper.
Along with the Parmo - priced just £3 - Newboulds' hot roast pork sandwiches are also proving hugely popular.
But Teessiders love their Parmos and sales have already topped 4,000 this season alone, even challenging that old-time favourite, the burger.
Parmos-in-a-bun have proved so successful that they are now available from two of the Riverside's non-Newboulds outlets.
And there are already plans to introduce two further Newboulds kiosks in time for next season - and catering staff are even looking at opening a Newboulds area for visiting fans, concentrating on another food success, the roast pork sandwich.
Parmo king Alastair Brownlee added: "It's great to see an essential part of Teesside life is now available to fans at the Riverside. After all, Boro and a Parmo go together perfectly!"

Concourse Supervisor Sarah Lincoln added: "The feedback we've had has been hugely positive. Because the Parmo is essentially a Teesside favourite, the fans identify with it and proud of it!
"We introduced the Parmo for that very reason - to get people talking and to give them an option away from the normal matchday fare."
"Boro fans can take much of the credit for the fabulous food drive that is taking place around the stadium on matchdays.
"Last season's MFC Experience survey, which was completed by more than 3,000 fans, gave us some great feedback on the club's services and out catering team were quick to act on ideas.
"The survey results confirmed we were heading in the right direction. Fans wanted better choice, better quality and a faster service. It didn't seem much to ask but we know few football clubs can meet this demand."
In recent months Boro have introduced a number of trials and service improvements with other new products including roast chicken and roast beef Yorkshire Pudding wraps.
