DEFENDER David Wheater will be the guest speaker when Middlesbrough Official Supporters Club meet at the Riverside Stadium's Fenton Suite on Monday (September 6).

MOSC usually meets at the Riverside Stadium on the first and third Mondays each month. Meetings usually begin at 7.30pm, with the guest speaker once a month.  

Non-members are more than welcome to attend ordinary MOSC meetings and can sign up as members on entry.

Membership fees are £6 per adult and £2 for under-16s and two passport-sized photographs are required with each new application.

New members can also join by contacting membership secretary Sandra Jackson, PO BOX 803, Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees, TS19 1EJ.

Please include full contact details, photos and date of birth for under-16s with each application, with cheques or postal payable to "MOSC". Please do not send cash through the post.

Boro's current number one Jason Steele at the club's last meting. The 20-year-old England U21 international made his full Boro debut with an outstanding display in the 2-1 Carling Cup win at Chesterfield and has been in the team ever since.

Jason answered questions from the floor before signing autographs and posing for pictures.

Other recent guests have included George Courtney, Jonathan Franks, David Wheater, Mark Proctor and Danny Coyne.

ALL members of Middlesbrough Official Supporters Club's committee were unanimously voted back into their posts by members at their Annual General Meeting.

The roles are carried out by MOSC members who generously give their own time to work on the committee.

THE AIM of Middlesbrough Official Supporters Club is to bring Boro fans of all age groups together in a friendly and relaxed environment at meetings held on the first and third Mondays of each month (fixtures permitting).

MOSC membership is available to all Boro fans, whether season card holders or not, with the only criteria being that you are a Boro fan.

Membership fees are just £6 per adult and £2 per child 16 years or under and memberships run from August to August each year.

As well as social events, meetings also act as a means to canvass members for their views, ideas and concerns to be passed onto the MFC through regular liaison meetings attended by MOSC committee members and MFC staff.

Examples of issues raised at liaison meetings include season card prices, the white chest band on replica team shirts and ideas for matchday entertainment.

Please note, although MOSC organise trips for league and cup away games these are weekend trips only. For all away game tickets and transport please contact the MFC ticket office.

Middlesbrough Disabled Supporters' Association

AS well as campaigning on behalf of disabled fans, the association also organises trips to most away games.

It has 300 members, including all disabled season ticket holders. Meetings are usually on the last Tuesday of every month in the Players' Lounge at the Riverside Stadium.
 
The group has a very close relationship with the club and meets officials regularly to discuss issues affecting members.
 
The club organised a highly-successful trip over land to Boro's first ever UEFA Cup away tie, at Banik Ostrava in September 2004 and has made several subsequent overseas adventures.

THE Twe12th Man is a group of Middlesbrough fans united in our unconditional support for the Boro.

Our objectives are to add pride, passion and noise to the matches of Middlesbrough FC, home and away, visually and vocally, for the full 90 minutes, win lose or draw!

The Twe12th Man stands independent of any political organisation, funding or belief, and is a non-profit, non-membership based organisation.

WHAT began as a group of friends travelling to games together in 1995 is now a thriving organisation with around 130 members.

The club meets monthly, usually in one of the two cities from which it draws many of its members, Sheffield and Nottingham. Guest speakers have included Derrick Downing, Don Masson, Chris Freestone and honorary president John Hickton, who brought along his memorabilia, including championship medal and scrapbook.
 
The club now has its own minibus and while many members are Teesside exiles it also has many second generation Boro fans.
