HURWORTH-BASED Bruno was born in Angola but has been with Boro since the age of ten.

An England youth international, he helped John Peacock's U17 side win the Algarve Tournament in Portugal in February 2010, along with his Boro team-mate, David Atkinson.

He also helped Boro win the Nike Cup in 2008 and captained England U17s to Nordic Cup success in August 2009.

Bruno was named among the substitutes for the first time when Boro drew 1-1 with Swansea City at the Riverside on Saturday January 23 2010.

An all-action player with very sound technique, Bruno - who can play either in defence or in midfield - is an exciting prospect for the future.
