CENTRAL midfielder Isaiah Osbourne became one of Gordon Strachan's first signings when he joined Boro on a two-month loan from Martin O'Neill's Aston Villa.
The 21-year-old had previously made 29 appearances for Villa, having made his first team debut against Fulham as a teenager.
Birmingham-born Osbourne also made eight Championship appearances on loan to Nottingham Forest last season.
He immediately came into the Boro first team and was praised by Strachan for his display in a 5-1 win at QPR in December 2009.
