National Rail has issued important information about future engineering work that will affect fans planning to travel by train to Boro's game against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday February 4 (kick-off 5.30pm).
"Engineering work is taking place between Peterborough and Hitchin, closing all lines. All tickets purchased will be valid on the alternative transport provided.
"If you are travelling on Grand Central, trains will call additionally at Doncaster and are diverted between Peterborough and London Kings Cross extending journey times by 60 minutes. A number of trains have been cancelled with the others being retimed.
"If you are travelling on Virgin Trains East Coast, trains are diverted between Peterborough and London Kings Cross extending your journey time by 75 minutes.
"Due to limited capacity on the diversionary routes, other trains will run to an amended timetable terminating or starting at either York, Doncaster or Peterborough.
"These changes are not currently shown in the National Rail Enquiries Journey Planner."
