French full-back Queudrue joined Steve McClaren’s side on an initial loan deal in October 2001, but was always keen for it to be a longer stay.
"I've signed for one year and I will play for one year, but I hope for more time,” he told mfc.co.uk at the time.
"I like the spirit in English football and I'm here for that."
Spirit was something Queudrue had in abundance, quickly becoming a fan favourite at the Riverside, making the transfer permanent in May 2002.
He’d make well over 150 appearances in the red of Boro, and was an integral part of the side to win the club’s first major trophy, the League Cup in 2004, and reached the UEFA Cup Final in 2006.
Queudrue went on to play for Fulham and Birmingham City in England, before returning to Lens in 2010.
