Middlesbrough FC is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience.

We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many of the current available standards and guidelines.

Accessibility Guidelines

Our aim is to ensure that all pages of our website conform to Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0). These guidelines are the internationally recognised benchmark for building accessible websites.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines also makes web content more user-friendly for all people.

W3C Standards

This site has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for XHTML and CSS. The site displays correctly in each of the most commonly used browsers and devices. Measures have been taken to ensure live widgets, areas and item states are fully accessible using the WAI-ARIA framework

'WAI-ARIA, the Accessible Rich Internet Applications Suite, defines a way to make Web content and Web applications more accessible to people with disabilities. It especially helps with dynamic content and advanced user interface controls developed with Ajax, HTML, JavaScript, and related technologies.'

Middlesbrough FC strives to maintain a high-level of accessibility across all areas of our website; however, sometimes this is not always achievable under certain conditions. We will always continue to seek out improvements and new solutions where necessary.

In the meantime, should you experience any difficulty in accessing the website please contact us via website@mfc.co.uk.
