Stephen Walker bagged a hat-trick as Boro's Under-18s sealed a second successive win over Everton at Rockliffe Park and a place in the Premier League Cup semi-finals.
A stoppage-time goal had secured victory over The Toffees last time out, and although another late penalty goal was scored by the away side again on Saturday it was mere consolation in a handsome victory for Boro.
Walker's trio of goals were sandwiched either side of one from Alberto Balde in the 4-1 success for Boro. Derby County, Manchester City and Manchester United are the other sides in the semi-finals stage.

Mark Tinkler's side are next in action with a return to league football, an away match against Manchester United on Saturday with a 12.30pm kick-off. Our Under-16s have a chance to join the U18s in their semi-finals when they travel to Brighton next weekend for their Premier League Cup quarter-final tie.
Boro's Under-23s, meanwhile, are back to it after a free weekend with a home match against Stoke City at Heritage Park on Friday evening (kick-off 7pm).
