Adam Forshaw has become the latest Boro player to pledge his future to the club by signing a new four-year contract.

The 24-year-old central midfielder joins Ben Gibson, George Friend, and Daniel Ayala in signing new deals to commit their long-term futures to the club.

Liverpool-born Forshaw, who joined from Wigan in January 2015, has made 56 appearances for the club and has scored twice, including a memorable injury-time winner against Reading at the Riverside.

Forshaw started the game at Sunderland last weekend, partnering Adam Clayton at the heart of the midfield.
