Aitor Karanka says Boro could be boosted by a number of fresh faces for Saturday's trip to White Hart Lane.

Deadline day signing Adlene Guedioura will go straight into the squad for the trip to White Hart Lane while Calum Chambers could also travel.

Guedioura joined from Watford earlier this week, has trained twice with his new team-mates, and Head Coach Aitor Karanka confirmed he will be part of the squad this weekend.

Chambers had returned to training after suffering a fracture in his foot and Karanka said: "Callum trained with us on Wednesday, but couldn't train Thursday so we don't know yet. I hope he will be able to travel, but I'll speak with the doctor and we will see where we are."

George Friend and Gaston Ramirez are both ruled out of the Saturday evening clash, though.

Friend is sidelined with a calf injury while Ramirez is in the final throes of recovering from a knee injury.

"Gaston Ramirez is still recovering, I hope he can be training with us next week, maybe Monday or Tuesday," said Karanka.

"He will be important, and the best way for him is to play and show once again how good he is."
