Aitor Karanka was quick to dismiss talk of transfer speculation when he faced the media on Thursday.

With the transfer window due to open on January 1, speculation has already started in the media about potential arrival and departures.

Aston Villa striker Rudy Gestede was linked with the club in Thursday's newspapers while Karanka confirmed some weeks ago that there may be some departures if "it suits all three parties - the two clubs and the player."

"The transfer window opens in January and I'm not looking beyond Saturday's game at Manchester United," said the Boro Head Coach.

"I know the club are working hard as always, but my immediate priority is the game at Old Trafford, and after that Leicester on Monday."
