Goalkeeper Aynsley Pears has joined Blackburn Rovers in a permanent transfer.
The 22-year-old ends a 13-year association with the club by moving across the Pennines for an undisclosed fee.
He joins Rovers on the back of 25 first team appearances for Boro, all of which came last season after he made his senior debut against Crewe Alexandra in the Carabao Cup in August. His league debut came at Huddersfield Town two months later when we drew 0-0.
Pears, who also had loan spells at Darlington and Gateshead, is a graduate of the Boro Academy having joined as an Under-9 and represented the club through the age groups. He was also capped by England at U19 level.
We wish Aynsley all the best for the future.
