Midfielder Bryn Morris has joined League One club Shrewsbury Town.

The 20-year-old has parted company with Boro on a permanent basis, having joined the Shropshire club on an initial six-month contract.

The Hartlepool-born Morris, a product of the Boro Academy who skippered England at every age level up to and including the Under-19s, is keen to forge a first team career after a string of loan spells.

Morris had had loan spells with York City, Walsall, Burton Albion, and Coventry City, and is now relishing the opportunity of an extended contract with Shrewsbury.

He made three appearances for Boro, his first coming as a 16-year-old in the FA cup tie with Hastings in 2013 and his last at Yeovil Town in May 2014.
