Boro’s senior squad have returned to Rockliffe for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the UK.
It’s now two months since Jonathan Woodgate and his staff were able to work with the players face-to-face on the Rockliffe training pitches, but training has now resumed in accordance with guidelines laid down by the EFL.
Players and staff were tested for a second time on Monday – and this process will continue on a twice-weekly basis. In addition, all players and staff face temperature checks on arrival at Rockliffe.
The EFL had already confirmed that from the first batch of testing, there were just two positive cases from 1,014 players and staff across the Championship. Hull City later confirmed that both positive tests were at their club.
