Boro will be ball number 21 in the northern section of Thursday's first round draw for the Carabao Cup.
The draw will take place from 2.30pm on Thursday 23 June, live on Sky Sports, following the release of Boro's Sky Bet Championship fixtures at 9am the same day.
Carabao Cup round one fixtures will take place week commencing 8 August.
