Aitor Karanka says work is continuing behind the scenes as the summer transfer deadline day looms.

The transfer window closes for permanent moves at 6pm on Tuesday September 1, and the Boro Head Coach is likely to add further to his squad.

Media reports have linked the club with a move for AC Milan's Michael Agazzi and Karanka isn't ruling out the possibility of further additions.

"I can't say anything because we're working," he said.

"I know the keeper and his personality so let's see if everything can happen.

"I've been pleased with my squad for the last two weeks.

"Last season when I arrived here I was always waiting to the last minute but this season I'm really happy (with the squad) so now everything that is happening is good for me."
