Nearly £5,000 has been raised so far for our official charity partner Teesside Hospice's campaign Hospice Hipster, with a number of Boro players growing facial hair this month.
Boro's former captain Ben Gibson is an ambassador for the Hospice and he was quick to round up some of his old team-mates to take part.
Adam Clayton, Dimi Konstantopoulos, Jonny Howson, and Aden Flint have all pledged their support to the campaign in the hope of raising funds for the Hospice.
Beardy duo Adam and Dimi are no strangers to facial hair and both have been concentrating on growing moustaches while Jonny and Aden are growing beards.
The Boro stars are just £500 away from reaching their £10,000 target, thanks to a pledge to double the amount they raise.
"We know how important Teesside Hospice is to this area, the great work that people do there, and the impact it has had on so many peoples lives from this region," said Adam.
"The club already works closely with Hospice and we're keen to do our bit and hopefully raise both money and awareness."
