England Under-19 international skipper Bryn Morris has joined Burton Albion on a month's loan.
The Brewers, managed by former Boro striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, are currently fourth in League Two, and Bryn has joined up with the club ahead of Saturday's home encounter with Luton Town.
The highly-rated midfielder made his Boro debut as a substitute against Hastings Town in January 2013 and also stepped off the bench against Sheffield Wednesday later that season.
Bryn's only appearance in a Boro shirt last season came against Yeovil on the final day of the season.
He spent the summer with Aitor Karanka's squad in Marbella was an unused substitute for the 1-1 draw against Blackpool in September.
Boro's Head Coach is hoping the loan spell will see the player gain in senior experience.
