MIDDLESBROUGH have completed the signing of Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford.
The youngster, who celebrates his 21st birthday next week, has joined the club on loan until January 1.
Bamford has opted to join Boro ahead of a host of interested clubs and he joins Chelsea club mate Kenneth Omeruo, who is on a season-long loan at the Riverside.
Bamford, who has yet to make an appearance for Chelsea, brings a wealth of experience despite his tender years.
Having joined Chelsea from Nottingham Forest as a teenager, he has enjoyed successful loan spells with both MK Dons and Derby County.
Bamford scored 21 goals in 44 appearances during two separate loan spells with MK, and he followed that by netting eight in 23 for Derby during the second half of last season to help fire the Rams to the Play-Offs.
Bamford is the club's second loan signing this week, joining Tottenham youngster Ryan Fredericks who is at the Riverside for the remainder of the season.
