Cornwall is the confirmed destination for a pre-season training camp with a friendly against Plymouth Argyle also lined up.
Neil Warnock’s squad will head to the south-west on Monday August 24 and will travel to Devon the following day for a behind-closed-doors friendly against Plymouth at Home Park.
Plymouth finished third in League Two last season after the season was curtailed and Ryan Lowe’s side won promotion on the end of season points-per-game calculations.
Cornwall has long been Warnock’s preferred destination for pre-season and Boro follow in the footsteps of Sheffield United, Queens Park Rangers, Leeds United, and Cardiff City who have all made summer trips to the south-west.
The squad will return to Teesside at the end of the week to continue the countdown to the new season on home soil.
The Plymouth game is the only confirmed pre-season fixture for Boro at this stage.
