Muzzy Carayol has parted company with the club after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

The cancellation of his contract enables the player to move on, and Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Alhasawi has announced that the player has joined his club on a two-year contract.

Carayol made just over 50 appearances for Boro, having joined the club from Bristol Rovers in August 2012, and scored 12 goals.

In March 2014, the Gambian international ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament during a 0-0 draw against Bournemouth, which would rule him out for the rest of the campaign, as well as a large chunk of the following season.

As he looked to regain match fitness, and finding limited first team opportunities at Boro, Carayol had spells on loan with Brighton and Hove Albion, Huddersfield Town and Leeds United.

Everyone at MFC wishes Muzzy all the best for his future career.
