Boro youngster Dael Fry has put pen to paper on a new five-year contract that will keep him at the club until June 2020.

The 18-year-old defender made a big impression on Aitor Karanka during pre-season and was rewarded with his first start for the club in the opening game of the season at Deepdale.

Fry has flown through the ranks at Rockliffe Park, representing both Craig Liddle's Under-18s and Paul Jenkins' Under-21s in the past 18 months before making his mark on the first team.

An England youth international, Fry was also part of the England Under-17s squad that were crowned champions of the 2014 European Championships.
