Christmas is a time for being together, and that’s exactly what the Boro need if we’re to pick up our perfect present this year.
Whether it’s from York or New York, down south or Down Under, Teessiders from far and wide will be driving home to spend Christmas with their families. For the football fans among us, heading ‘home’ to the Riverside is an important part of that Christmas tradition.
And this year, we’re hoping your drive will help our drive as Boro bid to make it back to the top flight.
Sheffield Wednesday are our visitors on Boxing Day, and a packed-out Riverside can make all the difference as Boro go on the hunt for another important three points in our promotion push.
We're rapidly approaching the 30,000 attendance mark, and Tony Pulis knows how crucial the festive flurry of fixtures can be to our Championship campaign.
“We're a few points off the top of the table and the players deserve a lot of credit for what they've achieved so far,” the Boro boss said.
“Now it’s really important that the supporters stick with the lads and show their support for the team. Especially over this period, we need everyone.”
In the words of Teesside’s own Chris Rea – we can’t wait to see those faces.
Get your feet on holy ground this Christmas time.
