Boro are in Nottingham tonight, so here's a flashback to a long-awaited win at Forest's City Ground back in March 1999.
An infamously tricky ground for Boro historically, the Teessiders had not won on Forest turf since 1973 heading to the East Midlands for this one.
Bryan Robson, whose Boro side had won promotion the previous season, was up against his old Manchester United mentor Ron Atkinson in the dugouts, and both clubs were looking for a win to help cement their Premiership status.
Colombian hitman Hamilton Ricard opened the scoring for Robson's side, getting the wrong side of his marker and coolly dispatching on the half volley.
Just seven minutes later, Forest were level, Dougie Freedman just as clinical with his volleyed strike to level past Boro keeper Mark Schwarzer.
The visitors would have the final say, Brian Deane latching onto another ball forward and lifting it over future Boro man Mark Crossley into the Forest net.
After ending their City Ground hoodoo, Boro would finish the season in a very respectable ninth place. Forest, on the other hand, ended the season bottom of the table and relegated to the second tier, and are yet to return to the top flight.
