Former Hartlepool United goalkeeper Adam Bartlett has joined Boro's Academy as a goalkeeping coach.

The 31-year-old made 29 appearances for Pool before parting company with the club this week to take up a new role as Lead Goalkeeping Coach for 9s-16s at Boro's Academy.

Bartlett's playing career started with his hometown club Newcastle United, and he went on to enjoy spells at Blyth Spartans, Kidderminster, Hereford, and Gateshead before joining Hartlepool in the summer of 2015.

Bartlett, who has started his new role with Boro, made 14 appearances for Pools this season, his final one coming on February 11.
