Contact training has returned to Rockliffe – but only after the latest round of tests came back negative for Boro.
Jonathan Woodgate and his squad were able to step up to phase two of training, in accordance with EFL guidelines, after Monday’s test results yielded no positive results for COVID-19.
It was the first time in over two months that the players have been able to take part in a full training session involving contact with others.
The session, on Tuesday afternoon, coincided with one of the hottest days of the year.
Woodgate will step things up ever further over the next week with a training session at the Riverside and potentially a friendly fixture as the countdown continues to the June 20 restart date.
