The former Leeds United and Swansea City manager was officially unveiled as the new Boro manager on Monday and he is already plotting the club's assault on the Sky Bet Championship.
Having failed in the bid to survive beyond just one season in the Premier League, Monk has spoken of his ambition to lead the club back into the top-flight, and CEO Bausor is delighted that Boro have secured the services of the in-demand boss.
"We were disappointed with last season, but we're in a position where we can move forward now," he said. "Garry has come in to freshen things up and we're excited about the opportunity.
"We will work together on the processes that we need to go through and as a club we will do our best to secure the targets that Garry wants.
"We'll work hard to give Garry the best chance of fulfilling our aspirations of getting the club back in the Premier League.
"We needed to bring different thinking in and that's what we're doing. Garry is going to do that and we have a manager in place that can lead his team on and off the pitch.
"This a fantastic opportunity for us."
