The club have signed highly-rated left-back Bryant Akono Bilongo from Isthmian League side Kingstonian.

The 20-year-old has made 28 appearances for Kingstonian this season and featured for Chelsea’s Under-23 side earlier this season while training with the Premier League side.

As a youngster, Bryant progressed through the youth system at Wimbledon before joining Combined Counties League side Hanworth Villa.

Academy head of recruitment Martin Carter has established a strong network in the Greater London area and in recent years the club has brought in the likes of Isaiah Jones, Djed Spence, Sam Folarin, and Toyosi Olusanya.

Academy manager Craig Liddle said: “Bryant is a player we have been watching for a while and we have hopes for the future.

"Martin has some really strong links with the London area and you only have to look at the other lads who have joined us from that area and see how they have developed as players.

"We welcome Bryant and we look forward to working him."

The youngster will link up with our U23s squad.
