Last Friday Paul Stephenson's side won 2-1 at Fulham in what was the first game in charge for the Lead Coach.

"There was a lot to admire last week, but also a lot to work on," says Stephenson ahead of tonight's game at Bishop Auckland.

"The first thing I demand of the lads is that they compete. That should be a given in any football game and at any age. They certainly did that at Fulham and I have no doubt that's the first thing they will do tonight."

This is the second game in five days for the Canaries who lost their opening fixture 2-1 at home to Brighton on Monday.

Tonight's game is the first of two in succession on Friday nights at Heritage Park. Next week Newcastle make the journey down the A1.

Kick-off tonight - and next Friday - is 7pm. Admission is free to Boro Season Card holders, £3 to everyone else. Car parking is free.

*Our U23s have been drawn in the same group as Derby, Nottingham Forest and Birmingham City in the Premier League Cup. Dates and venues for the games will be released in due course.
