Boro trio James Lea Siliki, Paddy McNair and Andraz Sporar are set to represent their countries having received call-ups for the upcoming international break.

The players will link up with their national sides after Saturday's match against Hull City, with focus switching to their countries' World Cup qualification campaigns.

Lea Siliki and Cameroon have a double header bookending the following weekend, the Indomitable Lions hosting their Group D opponents Mozambique on Friday 8 October before travelling to face the same opponents in Tangier in Morocco three days later.

Sporar's Slovenia also have two qualifiers to look forward to, away in Malta on Friday before hosting Russia the following Monday.

McNair and Northern Ireland have two crucial away qualifiers coming up, firstly in Switzerland on Saturday 9 October, then against Bulgaria the following Tuesday.

Manager Ian Baraclough has heaped praise on McNair, who is closing in on 50 international caps but missed their last clash with the Swiss due to suspension.

"Paddy is a real consistent performer, and one of the senior players which is credit to him given he's only 26. He's had a good start to the season at Middlesbrough and whether he's in defence or midfield, he's one of the key performers for us every time we get together."
