YEI Project Worker (Part Time - 21 hours per week)

Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation (MFCF) is the Club's independent charity set up in 1996 by Chairman Steve Gibson.  We use the power of the MFC brand to engage with the community to provide opportunities for disadvantaged young people and adults to maximise their potential to achieve.

MFC Foundation are delivering the ESF funded Youth Employment Initiative programme.  We are currently looking for candidates who are passionate about supporting and developing young people aged 15-29 that are NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training).  This exciting role involves delivering an established education programme that develops the participant's skills and knowledge in key areas such as Employability, Life Skills and Communication.  This role will support our young people by offering relevant Information, Advice and Guidance and helping them to access local Employment, Education and Training opportunities. 

Successful candidates will have relevant experience in a similar role, ideally working with young people.  Candidates should possess a dynamic personality, excellent communication skills and with the ability to work with key stakeholders to achieve successful relationships.  A teaching qualification is desirable and a minimum NGB Level 2 in a sports discipline is essential.  

This post falls within the scope of 'regulated activity' and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974).  Successful applicants will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service (formerly CRB) check and are required to declare any convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings that are not 'protected' as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exemptions) Act 1975.
