With the EFL fixtures set to be announced on Wednesday June 21, the countdown towards the new season will soon be well underway.
Our season will start a week earlier this year, with the Sky Bet Championship and Leagues One and Two all kicking-off over the weekend commencing Friday August 4.
Round One of EFL Cup, newly-named the Carabao Cup, will begin following the opening league fixtures with the games being played during the week commencing Monday August 7.
Boro entered the competition in the second round as a Premier League club last season, but fell at the first hurdle with defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage.
The festive period will be busy as ever for Boro fans. Our Christmas fixtures begin on Saturday December 23, with full fixture cards also on Boxing Day, Saturday December 30 and Monday January 1 2018.
Just as it will begin earlier, the 2017/18 season will also finish a two weeks sooner than last season. The regular EFL season will draw to a close on the weekend of May 5 2018.
Following the conclusion of the regular fixtures, the EFL Play-Off Finals will be played at Wembley on successive days over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
The order of the Play-Offs has been reversed for next season and the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final will take place first on Saturday May 26, followed by the League One and League Two finals on the Sunday and Monday.
