Marcus Browne capped his second debut for Oxford United with a goal, but the Us were beaten at home to League One leaders Rotherham United.
Browne, who was on loan at Oxford last season, linked up with the Us again for the remainder of the campaign and was straight into the action for the visit of the Millers on Saturday.
Oxford were three goals down at half-time, and Browne was brought on ahead of the second half. The 22-year-old pulled a goal back on 71 minutes to reduce the arrears.
Marc Bola, who's also rejoined his former club Blackpool on loan for the rest of the season, was without a game this weekend - as were Gateshead loanees Brad James and Mitchell Curry - with their trip to Gloucester City on Saturday postponed.
Zach Hemming and Blyth Spartans returned to winning ways at the weekend as they came from behind to defeat Curzon Ashton.
Connor Dimaio put the away side ahead, but the Spartans turned it around courtesy of a Robbie Dale second-half double in an eight-minute spell.
Elsewhere, Enes Mahmutovic started for MVV Maastricht who earned a point on the road against Roda JC Kerkrade.
