Hamilton are without a win since the end of September but a point was enough to move up two places to ninth in the Scottish Premiership table. A match away to league leaders Celtic - one of dad Alan's former clubs - awaits on Wednesday.

Elsewhere in Scotland, Mitch Curry came off the bench for Inverness Caledonian Thistle in their away victory over Alloa Athletic.

Curry was subbed on in the 72nd minute of the 2-0 win against 10-man Athletic at Recreation Park.

Across the North Sea, Enes Mahmutovic played 90 minutes for MVV Maastricht in a 2-0 defeat at NAC Beda.

Brad James was in goal for Gateshead for their 1-0 loss away to Kings Lynn.

Zack Hemming was also between the posts for loan club Blyth Spartans, an afternoon to forget for the Northumberland club as they lost 6-0 to Brackley. Blyth's FA Trophy replay against Alfreton Town kicks off today at 3pm.
