Joe Fryer helped Stevenage stretch their unbeaten run to three games in a 1-1 draw at home to Notts County on Saturday. Earlier in the week, Stevenage had beaten Brighton U23s in a Checkatrade Trophy group game, also played at the Lamex Stadium. Next up is a trip to Mansfield on Saturday,
It is now five unbeaten in all competitions for Accrington Stanley, for whom Callum Johnson played the first 61 minutes of Saturday's 0-0 draw at Cambridge. Callum, playing in midfield, picked up a yellow card. Stanley are second in League Two, but are in FA Cup action tomorrow night when they take on Guiseley in a replay after the two sides drew 0-0 in West Yorkshire. The winners will be away to Mansfield in round two.
Callum Cooke played the first 87 minutes for Blackpool in their 3-2 defeat against Portsmouth at Bloomfield Road. Most of the action came in 12 of the final 16 minutes - it was 1-0 to Portsmouth up to then - when four goals were scored. Former Boro defender Christian Burgess was in the Portsmouth side and set up Brett Pitman for his second and Portsmouth's third. The winner coming in the 86th minute.
Mitchell Curry was a 79th minute substitute as Harrogate Town suffered a rare loss, 3-1 away to Spennymoor Town. All the goals came in the first 39 minutes as Spennymoor, fourth, closed to within three points of second-placed Harrogate who are in turn seven behind Salford City who head National League North.
There were no games for Connor Ripley (Burton Albion), Antonio Barragan (Real Betis) or Julien De Sart (Zulte-Waragem).
The next game for Barragan is away to Eibar next Monday, when he will come up against Kike.
