Neil Warnock says he is delighted with the progress Marcus Browne is making with his rehab.
The 23-year-old hasn’t featured since January when he suffered an ACL injury during the 2-1 FA Cup defeat at Brentford.
The former West Ham youngster had scored just days earlier in a win at Wycombe and the injury was a huge blow to his hopes of establishing himself in the Boro side.
“Marcus is doing ever so well,” said Warnock. “I’ve had a few chats with him. It’s hard when you’ve nothing at the end of the week.
“It’s another four or five weeks before he’ll be on the grass but he’s working hard with JT in the sand and the gym.”
Browne isn’t the only long-term injury with Darnell Fisher (knee) expected to be out for the season and summer signing Sammy Ameobi ruled out indefinitely due to injury.
