After a frustrating spell on the sidelines with injury, Martin Braithwaite says he’s delighted to be back in action having scored two goals in two starts for Boro.
Boro have drawn the last two games against Brentford and Barnsley and despite scoring in both matches, Braithwaite admits he’s frustrated not to have taken maximum points.
“It was a frustrating game [on Saturday],” said the forward.
“It was a game we had to win so I felt a bit frustrated after, but now I’m looking forward to the next one.
“I’m not thinking too much about it now, I just want to win the next one and that’s all that’s on my mind.”
Braithwaite signed from Toulouse in the summer and made his first appearance against Wolves on the opening day.
The Dane picked up an injury in training, though, and was out of action until making his return as a substitute against Norwich City last month.
“Of course it’s been difficult but I like to think of myself as a positive guy and it was meant to be,” he said.
“I had to go out and work with the medical team. I set myself a goal of coming back better after my injury and I feel I’ve done that so far. Personally I feel in good shape.”
