Today's digital match sponsor Warsett Ltd have kindly donated their advertising space in aid of Senses Wellbeing Centre CIC in Skelton-in-Cleveland.
As our official digital sponsor for this afternoon's match against Birmingham City, Warsett Ltd have given opportunity for the Senses Wellbeing Centre to appear on the club website and social media as well as LED advertising boards and our Big Screen throughout matchday.
It's another kind donation from Warsett Ltd, who were among a number of companies and local residents who gave free time and labour to help create the Senses Wellbeing Centre during the pandemic, meaning it is now a fit-for-purpose venue serving the community in Skelton and beyond.
The Senses Wellbeing Centre is an accessible venue hosting sessions and welcoming children and adults with Special Educational Needs, Additional Needs and various disabilities.
Senses have a sensory play environment in the multi-use main hall, complete with lighting, bubble tubes, blackout tents and outher sensory equipment used for exclusive sessions - they already welcome the KTS Academy from Brotton and Kirkleatham Hall School in Redcar, and hope to soon have visits from more SEN schools across the Tees Valley.
They also deliver seated-chair fitness sessions that are dementia friendly and inclusive, not to mention “we will rock you” drumming fitness and “let it glow” dance classes in the dark.
On Fridays, the centre opens up to older adults for a social afternoon including singing, dancing, healthy lunches and a monthly cinema screening to tackle loneliness and isolation.
And weekends see SEN-inclusive 4D immersive cinema screenings, as well as a sensory play area along with arts and crafts.
Senses is volunteer-led and a not-for-profit organisation, and the venue can also be hired for private use such as concerts, fitness or even bingo, and each hire helps support their longevity.
There is a full timetable for the community to enjoy, with regular keep fit, zumba, step, conditioning, yoga and mindfulness sessions all available.
Senses Wellbeing Centre relies on the support of the Teesside community, so please help spread the word. For more information, check out their website at www.senseswellbeingcentre.co.uk, or find them on Facebook to follow their story.
