New Middlesbrough Disabled Supporters Association ambassador Matt Crooks is urging Boro fans to show their support for a big fundraiser this weekend.

The MDSA approached summer signing Matt to take on new the role as ambassador in the hope of increasing the profile of the organisation and helping with the raising of vital funds.

MDSA’s finances were hit hard during the course of the pandemic with the loss of the annual dinner and other fund-raising activities, and their quest to raise monies for organised away travel is continuing.

The Twe12th Man have raised over £2000 so far from their ‘Home’ walk from Rockliffe to the Riverside, and this coming Sunday sees the ‘Away’ leg when they will walk the reverse route.

Matt said: “It’s an honour to be asked to become an ambassador for MDSA, especially being new to the club.

“I’ve heard plenty about the good things that Paddy and the group do, and the walk is a great way to raise some much-needed funds.

"£2,000 is a fantastic total so far, but it would be great if we could at least double that from this second leg.”
