The club will be submitting its appeal against Paddy McNair’s red card later today.

The Northern Ireland international was shown a straight red card nine minutes from the end of Tuesday’s 2-1 win against Huddersfield Town.

Referee Jeremy Simpson showed the defender the card for ‘serious foul play.’ As it stands, the player would be suspended for the weekend trip to Reading.

The club’s appeal will include video evidence and the case is expected to be heard on Thursday.
