Paddy McNair was on the scoresheet as Northern Ireland recorded a handsome win in Lithuania.

Despite depleted ranks, Ian Baraclough registered a 4-1 victory to keep in touching distance of the top two in Group C of World Cup qualification.

Daniel Ballard opened the scoring for the Green and White Army before Conor Washington netted a second from the spot.

Rolandas Baravykas pulled one back for the hosts, but Bailey Peacock-Farrell then saved a Arvydas Novikovas spot-kick which would have levelled the score.

Shayne Lavery restored the visitors' two-goal lead, then McNair completed the scoring with another from the penalty spot, his fifth goal for his country.

Baraclough's side have a friendly with Estonia on Sunday, before heading home to welcome Switzerland on Wednesday.
