Neil Warnock’s squad will be put through their paces once again in searing heat at Tavistock on Wednesday evening (7pm).

The mercury is forecast to hit the 30-degree mark in the south west and will remain high when Boro head to Devon to take to the field against the Western Premier Division side at Langford Park (7pm).

Goals from Paddy McNair and Lewis Wing secured a 2-1 win against Saltash United earlier this week and the boss said he was pleased with the way his players came through what was a physical challenge.

Warnock’s squad will again train on the morning of the game and he will assess his squad before determining the starting XI and the subs.

Marc Bola and Jonny Howson have both travelled as they continue their recovery from minor injuries, but Sammy Ameobi hasn’t made the trip to the south west.

Warnock is also hoping to take a closer look at Jamie Paterson as the week progresses after the former Bristol City winger suffered a slight ankle injury in his first training session with the club ahead of the Saltash game.
