Defender Ryan Fredericks is back in contention for Boro's Easter fixtures.
The on-loan Tottenham youngster has been sidelined since the Nottingham Forest defeat at the start of March, but he is back in training and will boost Aitor Karanka's options ahead of the games against Wigan and Watford.
Fellow defender Dani Ayala won't be back for Easter though, while new loan signing Fernando Amorebietta will be assessed following his return from international duty with Venezuela.
Dwight Tiendalli is another new loan recruit who is in training and could make his debut while Kenneth Omeruo is also available for selection after being withdrawn during Nigeria's game earlier this week as a precaution.
Striker Patrick Bamford is also available, despite missing the England Under-21 game at the Riverside earlier this week.
