The pre-season build-up to the 2015/16 season for Aitor Karanka's squad is set to kick-off at York City on Saturday July 11 (12pm).

Bootham Crescent will play host to the club's first senior friendly of the summer as Karanka's squad return to action just six weeks on from the Play-Off Final defeat at the hands of Norwich City.

It's also confirmed that the squad will travel to Doncaster Rovers on Saturday July 25 (3pm) for a meeting with Paul Dickov's League One hopefuls at the Keepmoat Stadium.

George Friend and James Husband are both ex-Rovers men while former Boro striker Curtis Main is in the ranks at Doncaster.

The club will confirm further pre-season games in due course, and it's anticipated that there will be a fixture at the Riverside on Saturday August 1.
