Midfielder Bruno Zuculini will remain with Boro until January after a loan extension was agreed with Manchester City.

The 22-year-old Argentinean Under-20 international is set for an extended stay on Teesside will now remain with the club until January 2 2016.

Zucculini, who started his career in his home country with Racing Club before joining Man City in the summer of 2014, has made three appearances since joining the club at the end of October.

The central midfielder hasn't featured in a competitive game for City as yet, but had gained previous senior experience during loan deals with Valencia and Cordoba.

Boro Head Coach Aitor Karanka has made no secret of the fact that the player has impressed during his time with the club, and with Grant Leadbitter suspended for the weekend trip to Huddersfield, and Adam Forshaw still sidelined, the loan extension provides added options in the middle of the park.
