Dimi Konstantopoulos is relishing the challenge of keeping up with the Championship pacemakers as Boro prepare to welcome Huddersfield on Saturday (3pm).

The Boro keeper has been a solid presence in the division's meanest defence this season and is proud of his record of 12 clean sheets.

And he is convinced his team have the staying power to remain in the promotion frame during the second half of the campaign.

"I'm quite optimistic because no team has outplayed us this season, even ones at the top end," he said.

"I see no reason why we can't keep up our run going because we've shown we are as good as anyone in this league.

"We've learned some lessons from our first games this season and now we have to keep going strongly as a squad. It's all looking positive.

"This season it's a different team and we find ourselves in a different situation. I can't remember the last game we were not on top of and controlling the play.

"Last year we seemed to be under so much more pressure in games. We were having to defend for our lives to protect points.

"But we're in a much stronger position this season."
