Head Coach Aitor Karanka has often spoken of the need for Boro to find the perfect balance in order to survive in the Premier League.
And as we head for the halfway point of the season, it's been revealed that Boro are the top flight team using the most lefties to get off on the right foot.
As shared by Bill Edgar in Tuesday's Times newspaper, Boro have deployed the highest percentage of predominantly left-footed players (37.2%) in the Premier League this season.
That's ahead of Stoke City (34.7%) and Burnley (32.8%), with Liverpool the lowest on 6.5%.
Boro's left-footed contingent includes the likes of Ben Gibson, Alvaro Negredo, Gaston Ramirez, George Friend and Stewart Downing.
