Middlesbrough Supporters Forum is holding a foodbank collection this Saturday, 18 June 2022 at the Riverside Stadium.

The van and volunteers will be in place between 11am and 2pm adjacent to the club's retail store.

Middlesbrough Foodbank is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by the Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. It provides three days of nutritionally balanced emergency food to local people who are referred in crisis.

Mark Motley, chair of MSF said: “The rising cost of living including food bills, energy and fuel is really affecting many families very badly.

“Our matchday collections are always well supported and we really hope that people will pop down on Saturday to bring a tin, a pound, anything they can afford, to help those who are struggling to feed themselves and their families.

“Never has this help been more urgently needed, hence our close season collection.”

Urgently needed items required include:

Long Life Juice
UHT Milk
Tinned Custard
Tinned Fruit

Cash donations are also welcomed to enable items to be purchased.
