Muzzy Carayol has joined Brighton and Hove Albion on a month's loan deal.

The winger recently returned after a year's injury absence due to tearing his anterior cruciate ligament and has played three games for Paul Jenkins' Under-21s, scoring twice.

Carayol is the second Boro player to join Chris Houghton's Brighton this season after Emmanuel Ledesma made the switch to the Amex earlier this year.

Carayol has made Aitor Karanka's squad once this season, as an unused substitute, at home to Bolton on February 24.

Ledesma has now returned to the Riverside after playing four games while on loan with the Seagulls.
